Flight training organization (IT.ATO.0030)
The primary objective of the Eurotech flight training school is to have its students obtain the PPL(H) private helicopter pilot’s license and, upon request, the CPL(H) commercial license according to the PART-FCL standard. With the PPL(H) the student acquires the privileges that allow him to act as a private pilot of a single-engine helicopter employed in non-commercial flights and in accordance with visual flight rules (VFR). With the CPL(H) helicopter commercial pilot license the pilot can carry out aerial work, public passenger transport, flights as an instructor and rescue flights as a professional pilot.
ATO Eurotech is authorized to carry out the following courses:
PPL(H) Course
The training for acquiring the license consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.
Theoretical training
The ATO provides each student with all the teaching material necessary to carry out the course. Videoconference lessons are also planned in the new theory classroom at the Caiolo (SO) base. The course consists of approximately 100 hours of theory, distributed across the following subjects:
- aviation regulation;
- general knowledge about aircraft;
- performance and planning;
- human performance and its limitations;
- meteorology;
- navigation;
- procedure operative;
- principles of flight.
Flight training
As required by PART FCL at point FCL.210.H, to obtain the PPL(H) license it is necessary to have completed at least 45 (*) flight hours which include at least:
- 25 hours of dual flight instruction
- 10 hours of solo flight
The hours must be booked 1 or 2 days in advance, with the possibility of flying even during holidays, weather permitting. Furthermore, the course includes practical IMC/S lessons and, for those who use the Robinson for the qualification test, also the planned Safety Course.
(*) NOTE: To obtain the PPL(H) license with the Robinson 22 the total flight hours required are 50. The ppl(H) course can be attended on Robinson R22, Robinson r44 and Guimbal cabrì G2.
Modular CPL(H) achievement
The training for the acquisition of the CPL(H) license consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.
Following the achievement of the PPL(H) private license and reaching 155 hours of flight, the pilot can access the course which includes 35 hours of flight with an instructor and dedicated theoretical lessons. The helicopters used for all training are: Robinson R22 Beta / Beta II and Guimbal Cabrì G2.
Theoretical training
To be agreed according to the needs of the students. Generally 2/3 hours one evening a week, focusing the specific lessons at the end of the program on the preparation of exam quizzes.
Theoretical lessons are held at the bases in Caiolo, Bresso, Castelnuovo di Porto (ROME) and via videoconference.
Flight training
Flights 7 days a week including holidays by reservation.
20 minute trial flights are also available by reservation.
Integrated CPL(H) achievement
Integrated CPL(H) course is also available.
From 0 to obtaining the CPL(H) certification with only 135 hours of flight, as per the attached detail. The helicopters used for all training are Robinson R22 Beta / Beta II and Guimbal Cabri G2.

REGISTRATION
Documents and requirements
To obtain the private pilot license, the student must be at least 17 years old (registration and start of the course at 16 years old) and present the following documentation:
- Psychophysiological suitability: a 1st degree medical examination (necessary for obtaining the commercial patent) or 2nd degree (sufficient for the private patent) is required at the Angelo Mosso Legal Medical Institute of Milan, Viale dell'Aviazione, 1/B , with reservations required (tel.02-73903838), delivering the FTO presentation letter. Eurotech, a personal application to the organization and 2 variable transfers depending on the chosen category
- Application for enrollment in the school;
- Application for admission to E.N.A.C. (National Civil Aviation Authority)
- Photocopy of the Identity Card and Fiscal Code;
- A self-certification of birth;
- Police Headquarters clearance;
- No particular education requirements are necessary to attend the course.
